A feature of the Max 50 is that it can manage up to 9,000 users in stand-alone operation if there is no communication with the host. The Max 50 is a compact RFID smart card reader which can be mounted on a wall to suit room architecture.
The Max 50 supports Ethernet with AES encryption security.
